Greetings and salutations! as most of you know Vim salon and spa will be closing its doors forever on august 15th. I am not happy about this as I felt this was finally the right salon for me where I could work forever in complete contentment. I have nothing nice to say about the closing of the salon so I’m just gonna not.

I will be going to work at Moxie Star Salon, 473 Shawmut Ave, Boston, MA 02118. It’s just a little place with a couple chairs but, it’s an Aveda salon so you will still be getting the best color and product from the company with the highest standards for sustainable natural ingredients.

Also, this situation will be temporary. Sonya, my coworker, and professional icon, is opening up a mobile salon! thats right, we will come to you! the details are all being ironed out and it could take anywhere from three to eight months to get it up and running but you (and I) won’t have to hoof it all the way to the south end for very long.

At Moxie Star I will be booking all my own appoints via kaitlynexplosivehair@gmail.com and taking all my own payments via square or paypal. I can take all major credit cards and while i still prefer tips in cash (I have to pay a fee for every credit card transaction, a % on every dollar) I won’t cry about taking tips on your cards. my prices are going to remain the same but be forewarned, they may go up a little bit in the coming months. I am still working with the other stylists at Moxie Star to figure out scheduling (tho chairs and 4 stylists is a little bit of a challenge) but if you already have an appointment with me assume your appointment stands. if we need to shuffle things around i will contact you directly. If you would like to book an appointment with me shoot me an email and we will make it happen. I should know my schedule today or tomorrow so I’ll send out another, short, email when i know.

There is no power in the universe that is going to stop me from going on my cross country road trip. I leave september 15th and I won’t be coming back until october 15th (unless i fall into the grand canyon, get eaten by bears in yosemite, disappear into the san andreas fault, become part of the petrified forest, get lost in the mountains, caverns and caves in utah’s many spectacular places or find myself unable to leave dinosaur national monument and become an archaeologist). So get your appoints while you can as my schedule is going to be tight. I will work from dusk to dawn if need be to ensure you are all properly quaffed before I go but it’s likely I will only be able to do so a few days a week.
